  • You are proficient with SAP Business One and Microsoft Office
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing; Spanish is a plus

As an Inside Sales Representative at Hendrik Veder Group, you are responsible for the accurate processing of customer orders and quotes. You primarily handle requests for steel cables and associated end connections. In this role, you ensure that each order, such as customizing steel cable for a tugboat, is precisely calculated and processed. You anticipate customer inquiries about specific products and brands and assemble combined orders that are sent to the Production Department. You also work closely with other departments, such as Production and Purchasing, to ensure that orders are processed efficiently and swiftly.

In this position, you will manage a customer base consisting mainly of offshore and maritime companies. You handle both routine and complex requests, aiming to secure orders in line with agreed sales targets. Your goal is to build strong relationships with these customers by providing expert advice and support for their specific needs. This is achieved through maintaining contact by phone and email, actively analyzing customer needs, and identifying potential new clients. After a few months, you will also have the opportunity to visit customers. In the long term, there are international opportunities available.

You will be part of the Sales team located in the heart of the Rotterdam harbor, providing an inspiring backdrop for your daily tasks. Firsthand experience

You encounter an urgent request from a customer whose ship is about to depart and absolutely cannot sail without our specifically customized cables. What do you do?

Sometimes you face urgent situations, like a customer who urgently needs cables because their ship is nearly departing. In such cases, you quickly check the inventory and coordinate with the purchasing department to find alternatives or expedite deliveries. You consult with the Production Department to process the order urgently and ensure that logistics are ready to ship the cables as soon as they are prepared. At the same time, you keep the customer informed at every step. By effectively collaborating with various departments and acting swiftly, you manage to deliver the cables on time, leading to a satisfied customer and personal satisfaction from resolving a critical situation.
